Hometown Christmas is a wonderful family event hosted by the Rockwall Old Town Shoppes. Hometown Christmas is held during the day (after the Kiwanis Christmas Parade and prior to the City of Rockwall’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony). Below is a list of some of the planned events that will take place throughout the day in the Downtown Rockwall area. Updates and links will be added as the event draws closer. Mark your calendar now!

9AM – Kiwanis Christmas Parade. The parade begins at the Rockwall County Library and ends at Dobbs Elementary. For route information and to register your entry: http://www.rockwallkiwanis.org/christmas-parade-2016/

11:30AM – 4:30PM – Pictures with Santa Claus at the Historic Rockwall County Courthouse.

12PM – 5PM – Ice skating rink, giant snow globe photo opportunity, huge tobbogan inflatable slide and the world’s tallest snowman bounce house! Food trucks, entertainment, face painting and more!
Entertainment on the Historic Courthouse Stage: Dallas Puppet Theater, First Baptist Rockwall – Adult Choir, First Baptist Rockwall – Handbell Choir, Springer Elementary, Members of the Rockwall Philharmonic Orchestra, First Baptist Rockwall Children’s Choir, Rockwall Singers Company, Vintage Carolers.

12PM – 5PM – Find Frosty Scavenger Hunt! Visit the downtown shops and locate Frosty in each store, record your findings and drop your map into the pot for a grand prize drawing at the end of the day!

5PM – Pet Parade sponsored by T and T Color Supply. Registration information coming soon http://tandtcolorsupply.com/

6PM – 8PM – City of Rockwall Christmas Tree Lighting at City Hall – 385 S. Goliad, 2 blocks south of the Historic Rockwall County Courthouse. Complimentary refreshments provided by Rockwall Women’s League, games, live entertainment and Santa!
